Following the great success of the sold-out AfricaBuild Lagos 2016, the organisers ITE and fairtrade announce its 2nd edition for 14 to 16 February 2017 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos. AfricaBuild Lagos has become the leading international building & interiors exhibition in Nigeria. Nigeria’s booming economy and its ever growing construction market are major attractions for international suppliers.
Organised by the British and German trade fair specialists for emerging markets ITE and fairtrade, AfricaBuild Lagos will take place from 14 to 17 February 2017 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos. The event will bring together Nigeria’s key construction professionals and present products from international manufacturers and suppliers from around the world. The exhibitors will display their latest innovations in construction machinery and technology, building equipment and tools, building materials and interior finishing materials.
AfricaBuild Lagos – The leading international building & interiors exhibition in Nigeria
The premier edition in 2016 exceeded all expectations. 1,223 visitors discussed their business with 91 exhibitors form 16 countries at a sold-out Landmark Centre in Lagos. Due to this success AfricaBuild Lagos became the leading international building & interiors exhibition in Nigeria. 92% of the visitors recommended the fair and 80% planned to invest over the next 12 months. The exhibitors as well were highly satisfied with the whole show as 71% would recommend it to their peers.
Nigeria’s construction sector
Nigeria is Africa’s second largest economy with an estimated GDP of 538 billion USD (gtai) in 2016. With 187 million inhabitants it is the most populous African country and the 7th most populous country in the world. The construction industry is worth 60 billion USD and has averaged 9.5% growth over the past 5 years. Nigeria is expected to become one of the world’s top 20 economies by 2050.
